Whether if it's your Mother, Wife or the Mother of your children, we basically want the same thing on Mother's Day...........the less we have to do the better! So instead of buying a gift, try doing something special for her.
1) Know her personality
You should always put thought into whatever you decide to do. Make sure that she'll enjoy it (it's not about you and what you like hun!)
2) Take her out to eat (she shouldn't have to cook or clean)
Restaurants usually have Mother's Day promotions so your best bet is to search online for promotions taking place in your area. Check out Eat Drink Deals.
3) Spa Day
I would always recommend a day of pampering (hint). Spafinder allows you to purchase a gift certificate at any time even on Mother's Day.
4) Do the chores she would normally do on Sunday ie laundry, cleaning, ironing or hire someone to do it for her (it's only one day stop being cheap). I would suggest checking Craigslist or Merry Maids.
5) Make her feel special
However you choose to do it make sure she knows how much you appreciate her!
I almost forgot........take the kids (hint). Give her a day off, she'll definitely appreciate that!
