The Height of Just Too Muchery...........................

As a girly girl the one thing  I always make sure I do is smell good! The girls in New Hampshire may have to forfeit that right if they happen to be employed by the State......

Many women love wearing perfume, but have you ever gotten a headache from someone who has sprayed on way too much of a scent you don't like? Back in 2008, Susan McBride, sued Detroit under the Americans with Disabilities Act, claiming a co-worker's fragrance made it hard for her to breathe and do her job. She was eventually awarded $100,000, and the city warned workers to avoid using scented products like perfume, cologne, deodorant, lotion, and aftershave. Now New Hampshire is looking to do the same.

ARE THEY SERIOUS???????

Words of Encouragement......................................

My sister sent this to me and it was such a tear jerker I thought I would share it with you guys......

There was a blind girl that hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, “If I could see the world, I’d marry you”. One day someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend. He asked her, “Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?” The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected that. The thought of looking at him for the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him. Her boyfriend left her in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying; “Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.” This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what our life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations. Today before you say an unkind word – Think of someone who cant speak. Before you complain about the taste of your food -Think of someone who has nothing to eat. Before you complain about your husband or wife – Think of someone who’s crying out to GOD for a companion. Today before you complain about life – Think of someone who went too early to heaven. Before you complain about your children – Think of someone who desires children but they are barren. Before you argue about your dirty house someone didn’t clean or sweep – Think of the people who are living in the streets. Before whining about the distance you drive -Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet. And when you are tired and complain about your job – Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job. But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another -Remember that not one of us is without sin and we all answer to one MAKER. And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down – put a smile on your face and thank GOD you’re alive!

XOXO!

Chick Chat: "Don't You Know A Man Being Rich is like A Girl Being Pretty?"-Marilyn Monroe...............

My girlfriends and I often have the conversation about whether or not it's wrong to date a man for financial gain. I've never personally made that a factor in my life but some women do. The older I get my opinion has somewhat wavered on the issue. Physical attraction is important according to both sexes. Men however, don't have a problem with being involved with a woman if the attraction is solely physical.

Women tend to look for more in a relationship mostly because we need for our emotional cravings to be satisfied. There are the women, labeled gold diggers who are able to abandon their feelings in exchange for gifts or money. So my question is....Is it more wrong for a woman to be interested in a man because of his finances than it is for a man to be interested in a woman because of her beauty? What do you think? XOXO

Do We Always Get What We Pay For??...........................

Happy New Year! You may or may not know that I've been natural for almost a year now. Dealing with my natural texture has def been a learning experience. The key to maintaining natural hair is moisture (& patience of course). So I'm constantly looking for the next best oil, conditioner, daily moisturizer etc. I've tried so many products in the last year and have been pleasantly surprised with the lower end products.

We tend to be a society that equates price with quality, which isn't always the case. I compared the three products below and the most expensive product actually gave me the least amount of results. I can safely say that I will never purchase it again.

Aussie's 3 Min Miracle $4-$5, Miss Jessie's Creme De La Creme $16.00 & VO5's Balancing Conditioner $.99

I co- wash my hair everyday when it's curly and shampoo & deep condition it once a week (yes I'm still a shampoo girl). Let's start off with Miss Jessie's Creme De La Creme......it smells great, other than that there's really nothing else to rave about. I picked it up during my weekly trip to my local beauty supply. Luckily they were having a half off sale because if I paid full price for this product I would have had a BF. I actually ended up using my 3 Minute Miracle after to restore some softness to my hair. I have no complaints about the 3 Minute Miracle. I absolutely love it. It gives my hair amazing slip. If I deep condition, I'll leave it on for about 20 mins and I can literally detangle with my fingers instead of a comb. Now onto the VO5 Balancing Conditioner......I must say out of the three products this conditioner is the best. You would think for $0.99 you shouldn't expect much from it. I remember seeing my Mom use VO5 as a little girl and I definitely understand why. Please keep in mind that these results are based on my hair texture and your results may vary. I just wanted to show you guys that you don't always have to spend tons of money to get the results you're looking for. If you've tried or plan to try any of these products let me know what you think! XOXO
